Wine farm
This 30-ha wine farm is in close proximity of Wellington. It is not often a farm with an abundance of irrigation water comes onto the market. The farm borders the Berg River and is registered for 28 ha irrigation water (5 000 m³/ha) at the Berg River Irrigation Board.
There are two residences on the farm. The oldest house is a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom house built in 1873. The second residence is an old house, carefully renovated, with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The living area/ dining room is very spacious and has two fireplaces.
Apart from the houses is a 2-bedroom guest cottage rented as a self-catering unit.
The outbuildings consist of an implement shed, storeroom and workers’ houses for 5 families.
The land is planted to a variety of red and white cultivars (all old vines – planted 1978 to 2002), ± 1,0 ha roses and ±1,5 ha plums and pears. The grapes are delivered to Wellington Wines under contract.
The property is owned by a VAT registered company and is sold as a going concern.
